My Samsung side by side Model #: RS267LASxH refrigerator is not cooling. The freezer part works fine. The outside thermometer (on the door) does not seem to read the temperature on the inside accurately and sometimes blinks on and off. On a couple of occasions I have noted a possible water leak from the front right corner of the refrigerator. I was wondering what the cost would be to have this looked at and when it could be done. Thank you!

It's not recommended that you attempt refrigerator repairs on your own. Most refrigerator repairs tend to involve complicated procedures that are left best to professionals. However, if you are very confident about your DIY repair skills, you can attempt some basic repairs. Make sure that you cut off all power supply to the refrigerator before attempting any repairs. Failure to do so can result in injuries that can be fatal. If your refrigerator refuses to run, confirm that it has stopped by checking the light inside, or the sound coming from the motor or fan. Make sure that the refrigerator is receiving power. You can check by plugging a lamp into the refrigerator's power outlet.
If your refrigerator doesn't seem to cool properly, check if the thermostat is turned to a proper setting. If there is no problem with the thermostat, check if the compressor motor is functioning properly. A compressor motor that is running will make a continuous humming sound. If there is nothing wrong with the compressor motor, you may have a more serious problem on your hands, and need to call in a professional refrigerator repair specialist. If the refrigerator makes a lot of noise, it could be because the fan has become worn out overtime. Other causes of a noisy refrigerator can be the condenser fan motor in case of a self defrosting refrigerator, the defrost timer or the compressor. In case the compressor is making noise, then refrigerator repairs will involve replacing the motor altogether. There are no compressor repairs that can be done to reduce the noise. In case of a noisy condenser fan, clean the fan using a soft brush after unplugging the refrigerator. A noisy defrost timer will have to be replaced.
